I'm old school when it comes to movies, I like to watch them on a TV, on DVD, which is why I like Netflix.
But lately I've been getting broken DVD's. I don't know if it's the company, the mailman, or what, but it's annoying waiting for a movie and then opening the envelope only to find a broken DVD.
What should I do? Start streaming movies? My Internet connection is with Virgin, 3G and portable. That's not enough power to stream movies.
Come on, Netflix, get your act together. Maybe your envelopes need to be padded or something.
March 2012: Net Flix Quality Control has gone down hill. I have recieved many DVDs from them for years which would freeze for a moment or two before restarting themselves. I could live with that. NOW some DVDs come, all to often, completely unplayable. I have complained over the telephone and found their Reps polite but Net Flix Quality Control continues to go down hill. This all seems to have gotten worse after their recent price increase and susequent stock price drop. Today I am sending back their replacement DVD which I recieved after complaing about the first one I recieved. Both were unplayable. We used to really love Net Flix but NO MORE. I hope they get it togethor soon or I also will drop the service.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment, Anonymous. Since I wrote that blog, things have gotten a lot better, after getting about 14 DVD's from Entourage, only one was unplayable.
ReplyDeleteFrankly, I think the problem is the envelope, I think it's too soft and if the mailman is careless he can damage the DVD's. Of course, there's also the possibility of people returning damaged DVD's without letting Netflix known.
Either way, I'm not gonna start streaming, I have a friend who streams and he has reported problems, besides, the selection you can steam is limited. I doubt you can stream "Ilsa. Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheikhs." Not that's one f-cked up film.
