Today I'm not going to use any links or quote from other sources, because to me the death of Andrew Breitbart is personal.
I follow politics the way some people follow sports, and Andrew was one of my heroes. Whether it was his expose of liberal hypocrisy in Hollywood Interrupted or in his latest manifesto, the man was willing to fight as hard as the left fights. He was willing to employ their tactics, except that he fought with the truth instead of lies.
Unlike other freedom lovers who turn the other cheek and lose the argument, Breitbart never backed down from a fight.
If you treated him with respect, he respected you, if you defamed him, it was war. Breitbart was born a liberal but he evolved into a conservative with libertarian leanings, and unlike liberals who get Pulitzer Prizes for following the party line, Breitbart risked his career as he fought against corruption in government and in the media.
And to the liberals who celebrate his death, to those assholes tweeting "burn in hell," mark my words. Andrew Breitbart may be dead, but his SPIRIT lives on, his books live on, his websites, his writings, his ideas, his tactics, his CONTRIBUTIONS live on.
In fact, his passion and his example will continue to inspire conservative and libertarian freedom fighters who are tired of being nice with people who are scum.
God bless Andrew Breitbart, a hero of the First Amendment.
Rest In Peace.
